Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed, a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant and a Fellow Chartered Secretary, is the founder President and CEO of Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL), Bangladesh. Starting his career as a teacher in the Department of Accounting, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, Mr. Ahmed served many national and multinational companies. Mr. Ahmed pioneered many institutions in the country. He is the founder of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Managers of Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed floated the first ever multinational credit rating agency in Bangladesh (CRISL). Mr. Ahmed was the President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh and he was instrumental in setting up the South Asian Federation of Accountants, a regional hub of the institute of South Asian Accountants in 1984.
Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed was honoured by the Financial Mirror Award in 2004 and also in 2010 for his outstanding contribution to the financial service sector. He was also warded business excellence award by the CIMA Srilanka for his outstanding contribution in the financial sector. Mr. Ahmed is a well traveled person and has good number of publications to his credit. Mr. Ahmed is currently in the Board of ACRAA and Chairman of the training Committee of ACRAA.
